Overview
Notchly is a macOS utility app designed with privacy at its core. We believe your data belongs to you. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.
Data We Collect
- Email address — provided at purchase for license key delivery. Stored securely and never shared or sold.
- License key — generated upon purchase and used for app activation.
- Device identifier — a hardware hash used solely to enforce the 2-device license limit. We cannot identify you from this hash.
- Payment information — processed by our payment providers (Dodo Payments, PayPal). We never see or store your card details.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- Clipboard contents
- File names, contents, or metadata from File Shelf
- Calendar events or data
- Music listening history
- Screen recordings or screenshots
- AI chat conversations or notes
- Browser history or bookmarks
- Usage analytics or telemetry
Local-First Architecture
All features in Notchly run entirely on your Mac. Clipboard history, calendar integration, music controls, focus timer data, sessions, and file shelf contents never leave your device. When you use AI features (BYOK), your API key is stored locally in the macOS Keychain and requests go directly from your Mac to the AI provider.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Dodo Payments — payment processing
- PayPal — alternative payment processing
- Vercel — website hosting
Each service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
Data Retention
We retain your email and license data for as long as your license is active. If you request deletion, we will remove all your data within 30 days.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Contact us at trexoo.ai@gmail.com to exercise these rights.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
