1Download Notchly

There is one single DMG for everyone — Free and Pro are the same app. Download it from the Download page.

The file is named Notchly.dmg. Open it, then drag the Notchly.app icon into your Applications folder.

2Open the app (bypass the unsigned warning)

Because Notchly is not yet notarized by Apple, macOS will show a warning saying "Notchly cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer" or similar. This is normal. You have two easy ways to bypass it:

Option A — Right-click to open (easiest, 2 clicks)

1. Go to your Applications folder and find Notchly.
2. Right-click (or Control-click) the Notchly icon.
3. Choose Open from the context menu.
4. A new dialog appears — click Open again to confirm.
5. Notchly will launch. You only need to do this once.

Option B — Allow it in System Settings

1. Try to double-click Notchly — macOS will block it and show the warning.
2. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the Privacy & Security page.
4. You'll see a message: "Notchly was blocked from use because it is not from an identified developer."
5. Click Open Anyway next to it.
6. Enter your Mac password if prompted, then click Open.

Option C — Terminal (advanced)

If neither option above works, you can remove the quarantine flag via Terminal:

This removes the macOS quarantine attribute so the app opens normally. After running this command, double-click Notchly as usual.

3First launch

Once open, Notchly lives in your menu bar. Hover over the notch area at the top of your screen — the notch will expand and show the Home screen.

• Hover over the notch to expand it.
• Click any tab in the bottom navigation bar to switch features.
• Click the notch area or move the cursor away to collapse.
• All free features are available with no setup or account.

4Activate Pro with your license key

After purchasing the Pro plan ($15 one-time), you will receive a license key by email (format: MACN-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX).

To activate:

1. Hover over the notch to open Notchly.
2. Click the Settings tab (gear icon in the bottom bar).
3. Go to Account.
4. Click Enter Key.
5. Paste your license key and press Enter.
6. Pro features unlock instantly — no restart needed.

All modules live in the bottom navigation bar inside the expanded notch.
